The kits allow you to learn basic livesaving skills in about 20 minutes from the comfort of your home.To enter, simply like this photo and comment why you would like to win a CPR Anytime kit. 25 winners will be randomly selected and announced on this post on Friday, Aug. 7. Giveaway ends Thursday, Aug. 6 at midnight.

Did you know that giving immediate CPR to someone in cardiac arrest can double or triple that person's chance of survival? When someone is in cardiac arrest, their heart stops beating and they stop breathing. When you apply compressions, you are doing what their heart can no longer do – deliver oxygen and blood to vital organs. Oxygen stays in the body for a few minutes, even if breaths are not given, so compression-only CPR is still very effective. If someone goes into cardiac arrest, immediately dial 9-1-1 and start performing compressions by pushing hard and fast in the center of the chest.

We would like to thank Lyndsey Albright and the American Heart Association for their donation of 25 CPR Anytime kits. Lyndsey gave bystander CPR to her boyfriend Mike. As you can see in the picture, he's here with us today thanks to her quick action giving him CPR and dialing 9-1-1.

Giveaway is open to residents in the Castle Rock fire protection district only. One kit per household. This kit is designed to be shared among friends and family.
