In the summer of 2018, Cammie Bryant's cat Kookie never came home. After weeks of searching, Cammie gave up hope. Nearly two years later, a good Samaritan found Kookie and brought him to the Aurora Animal Shelter. The shelter discovered Kookie's microchip and quickly reunited Cammie with Kookie. Cammie was overjoyed that she had her cat back!

If you haven't had your pet microchipped, stories like this should be encouragement to do so. No matter how responsible we are as pet owners, unexpected events happen, and microchipping your pets helps increase the possibility of your pet returning home to you. Contact your vet, or call the shelter at 303.326.8280 for more information.
