Forecasts predict about 5 inches of snow in Westminster beginning later this afternoon but minimal accumulation on roads is expected due to recent warm temperatures.
Public Works and Utilities crews will be monitoring areas that are likely to freeze, like bridges, as the snow falls.
If snow does accumulate on roads, the city will deploy plows accordingly.
Following the city's ice and snow control policy, crews will first plow and deice primary city routes. They will focus on keeping these primary routes and emergency facilities cleared.
Residential streets will not be plowed unless 8 inches or more of snow accumulates which is not expected.
As a reminder, the city does not plow state roads like 120th Avenue and Federal Boulevard. Find a map of Westminster snow routes at https://bit.ly/2qMOWO5
