ALERT: Lakewood Police Searching for Carjacking Suspect

Lakewood Police are looking for a suspect considered armed and dangerous after a carjacking that left two women in their 60s injured.

At approximately 12:45 p.m. on 10/12/20, agents with the Lakewood Police Department were called to the 400 block of Benton Street on a carjacking. When agents arrived they found two female victims, both in their 60s, suffering from injuries. Witnesses reported an 18-20-year-old male had carjacked the woman and left in the stolen car, running over one of the victims as he fled the scene. Both victims were taken to the hospital.

Lakewood Police are asking everyone to be on lookout for the stolen vehicle; a 2000 Lincoln Continental with Colorado Honorably Discharged Veteran license plate number 274-CBF (an example of what that type of plate looks like is below). The suspect is described as an 18-20-year-old Hispanic male, approximately 6’2’’, last seen wearing a hat and red cloth mask. Anyone who spots the vehicle is asked to call 911 immediately. Do not approach the suspect as he is considered armed and dangerous.
