Lt. McChesney, Engine 55, and Medic 55 attended the Lake Arbor Optimist meeting this morning where they received 20 Sensory Kits that will be placed on all front line emergency apparatus. These kits are equipped with items for our citizens who may have sensory health issues. The kits will be given to our patients to calm them, in case of an emergency. These citizens may have Autism, dementia, Alzheimers or just be anxious during an emergency or stressful event. These kits will calm or distract those patients who may be taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment. A special thank you to Ken and Terri Kearney of the Lake Arbor Optimist Club for their generous donation to Arvada Fire.
