PICKLEBALL COURTS NOW OPEN AT WESTLANDS PARK
The two new pickleball courts and a refreshed basketball court officially opened at Westlands Park on October 23, 2020. Once an in-line hockey rink, the concrete pad adjacent to a pavilion with restrooms, shade and picnic tables, now has new life as the popularity of pickleball soars.
Westlands Park is located at 5701 South Quebec Street and the courts can be found as you follow the trail south past the pond with dolphin sculptures. The courts are free to use, and reservations are not required, however a courtesy rule is posted to help ensure that everyone gets a chance to play.
Funding for the project was provided in part by a grant utilizing the voter-approved Arapahoe County Open Space 0.25% Sales and Use Tax.
