To support the resiliency of struggling businesses and nonprofits in Aurora while the community awaits vaccines and treatments for COVID-19, the city of Aurora and the Aurora City Council are rolling out a grant program totaling at least $5 million for those that are eligible.
In cooperation with the Arapahoe County CARES Program and the Adams County CARES Program, the Aurora Economic Resiliency Grant Program will provide grants up to $30,000 each to small and mid-sized businesses and nonprofits to help with payroll and business rent expenses for the upcoming winter months.
The program is open to both new applicants and those that previously qualified for funds through the earlier Aurora Economic Relief or Aurora Economic Recovery programs.
The application process for new applicants will open Thursday, Nov. 5, at AuroraGov.org/AER, and close at 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12. Prior program applicants will receive an email also on Nov. 5 with a link to complete a short interest form if they wish to be considered for this program.
